Well you know how much you paid for your Toyota Estima, don't you. You know how much the UK equivalent cousin, the Previa costs don't you? Have you ever wondered how much your Toyota Estima cost when it's original Japanese owner purchased it?

I did, and after much digging around, trying to decipher websites in Japanese script I've eventually got the figures for new Toyota Estima's purchased in 1999, the last in the line of Japanese Estima's and in particular Lucida/Emina's before the New Toyota Estima 2000 was released.

Now we have to start with a base model upon which all other main alternatives are based. The base model is the Toyota Estima Lucida, X grade, 2 wheel drive (2WD), 2400 petrol engine with manual transmission at a cost of ¥2,465,100 or £15,802. The sterling equivalent is based upon an exchange rate of ¥156 - £1.

Each main extra can then be added at a fixed cost shown below:

Just pick out the specification that your vehicle has, add the cost of those fixtures up, and add it to the base cost.

• These costs are only for Lucida and Emina models, if you would like the figures for the standard Estima then please contact me.
• I have no figures to date for the "Limited" models. I suggest it would be reasonable to take the figure for "Luxury" instead.
